Before/After

Today I had several errands to run in Amarillo,
and the ONLY hair tie that I had... I was using to fasten my jeans.
Ladies who have been pregnant, you feel me.

Anyhow, I am at Hobby Lobby in the longest line possible, new clerk (bless him), my feet hurt, I was itching because there is just so much stuff in that store, annnnd I was hot, like sweating.

So when I left Hobby Lobby, I went and got a hair cut! :)
I love it.
It's been a long time since I have had my hair short.
It was def. time.
Little bb is on her way, and a few months following her arrival, she'll start pulling my hair, my niece Katey reminded me of that this past weekend. :)

what did you do today!??

At my last doctor appointment (July 22), my doctor told us that Maddie Lou is tiny.
I'm growing, & gaining great... she isn't.
So she wants to see me back in 2 weeks, so on Aug5th.
Being that we have eliminated that I'm not smoking, I don't drink, I eat.... a lot, I've stopped exercising, she wants to monitor her closely. I will have another ultrasound at my next appointment, and I believe she wants to hook me up and monitor me for a bit. She thinks it may the placement of the umbilical cord. The ideal place for the umbilical cord to attach is right in the center, but sometimes it attaches on the outer part of the placenta, which is fine, it's just that Maddie is not getting all that she could be from me, and so if this is the case, she will take her at 38 weeks, because by then she will be fully developed, all will be well, and bb can benefit way more from me at that point than staying in there another week or so!

So I will keep you all updated!

Oil Blog Update & A Pinterest Steal :)

Oily Updates:

So three or four blogs ago I shared about me having tummy issues, and how I stopped eating certain foods, I was drinking plenty of water, and that wasn't helping so I did some research on what oils I could use, and started diffusing 4 drops of Thieves, 4 drops of Peppermint, and had rubbed 2 drops of Lemon on my tummy. When I posted that blog I mentioned that I was already feel a lot better than I did, and would let you all know a later update...

UPDATE: So I don't think I had a virus or anything. I am thinking it was 100% pregnancy related. Which is really weird, I never had anything like that happen to me when I was pregnant with Bonnie Kayte. Anyhow, I diffused the list above, and rubbed lemon directly on my tummy for 2 days straight.
I am usually in the living-room, or my bedroom, so I had my scentsy warmer burnin' those 2 oils in the living room, and the diffuser in my room going all day (for 2 days),  and I pretty much carried my Lemon oil around with me from room to room incase I had the icky sensation come over me, I would apply it immediately to my stomach.

It definitely was a huge help, but I literally had to be in my living-room, or the bedroom where these scents were being diffused, I noticed that if I was outside with the dogs, that icky sensation would come so I would hurry inside, walking right into my living-room, sit down for a second, and all would be well. Even if I was in the kitchen, right around the corner from my living-room, it would come, so I would hurry into the living-room, or my room to lay down for a sec, apply some lemon to my belly, and I felt better.
Thank goodness that is all over with!

*******

I have still been diffusing Peace & Calming at night.
I start my diffuser about 5-10 minutes before I lay down.
When I get into bed, I apply Lavender to the bottom of both feet, and on each shoulder.
Yay for comfortable sleep!
I love sleeping & I actually look forward to bedtime.

Steven hasn't applied Valor, maybe one night since we started using these oils at bedtime, but it didn't phase me a bit, and if he snored, it didn't wake me!
awesome.

*******

As most of you may know, I have very sensitive skin, I changed pillows, make-up, to avoid red itchy bumps on my face, etc.

Ok so I have come to the conclusion that I get these red itchy bumps/breakouts, when I do not wash my face. I don't wear make-up everyday,
so when I do wear make-up... 100% of the time,
I forget to wash my face at night... waking up to this

I woke up Tuesday morning like this,
had lots of running around to do,
so I applied make-up over it,
it itched like crazy all day long.
(and I took this picture Tuesday night, right after my shower.)

I was on Facebook before dinner Tuesday night, and came across this:
and thought... Wonderful! I'll try it!

So Wednesday morning, I wake up,
wash my face (with just water),
put 1-2 drops on my palm and rubbed it on my cheeks.
(I did this a total of two times on Wednesday)
Immediately took away the itchiness,
the redness was still there,
but with just my face cleanser it would take me using my face wash 2 times a day,
for 7 days straight to get any type of relief.

 (Wednesday Night)

Thursday.
I did the same thing, applied 1-2 drops on my cheeks,
2 times at random times of the day.
(Thursday night )

Friday.
Today!
I have applied 1-2 drops directly to my cheeks, and just now took this picture.
I can tell a huge difference,
in more feeling than anything,
but also looking back at these pictures.

So YAY! for Frankincense!
   Love this stuff.

*******

This morning I woke up kinda congested, still dealing with feeling like I am breathing dry dry air,
(have not purchased a humidifier...yet!)

Anyhow, all morning I was constantly sniffling,
so I blew my nose several times, nothing was helping,
Sooooo before I took a nap this afternoon,
I got these little sample packets that came with my starter kit,
and I made my own little roller-ball of LLP (Lemon, Lavendar, & Peppermint.)

Applied it to my wrist, the bottom of both feet, and inhaled the end of the roller-ball for about 30 seconds. Fell asleep able to breathe through my nose, and woke up still able!
awesome.

(now these sample packets only made a tiny amount,
but still,
this will last me for awhile.
& I can always just add to this roller-ball!)

*******
Oh yes,
I made Bug Spray today :)
Instead of using harsh chemical and putting toxins on your body, make your own!

-Measuring cup(s)
- Label & Marker
-4 oz. glass spray bottle
- 2 oz. Witch Hazel
-2 oz. distilled water
- 7 drops of Thieves
-7 drops of Peppermint
-7 drops of Purification

TaaaDaaa!
So simple.
Took maybe...MAYBE 5 Minutes.

Disclaimer: While I do have a wholesale membership with Young Living Essential Oils, I do not make a business of it, and I have not been compensated in any way for mentioning them in this article.
This is based on my own experiences with the oils. I can get people to sign up on my team- you buy everything from Young Living, but I would love to help you.
If you use any other brands of oils, I know that Doterra is another popular name around where I live,
or if you use just any other good-quality oil, and it works for you, that is fantastic.
The Young Living vs. Doterra debate is perpetual.
Find what works for you.

If you are interested in signing up!
Please message me, email me, call me, comment on this blog, etc.

OR

Here are a few simple steps for you to sign up:

2. Sign up as a wholesale member to receive 24% off for life. No need to sell anything ever, but there are some great, life changing, business opportunities if you’re interested.

3. Use my number: 1899911 as the sponsor ID, AND the enroller ID.

4. Fill out your info and select the very first Premium Starter Kit for $150, and you’re set to go!

If you select a different starter kit (the $40 or the $75 one) I want you to be aware that you will only be getting one oil. This does not include the 10 everyday oils, just a few samples.

Please make sure you allow Young Living to send emails so I can contact you and get you connected with other oily family members. Otherwise, I will have no way to reach out to you.

You do not have to select an essential rewards kit unless you want to. I LOVE the Thieves Kit and the NingXia Red kit. It’s a great way to slowly dive into this healthy lifestyle while only spending 50pv a month. The best part- you get free oils!! You can always sign up at a later time as well (you do not have to purchase a kit, you can simply purchase the same products you have been using).

Please email me if you have any questions and I’m so excited to start this journey with you!! We have a great support system so you will never feel alone.
